First Period: Exposition of Machinery and Electronic Product on 23~26 September 2004

Second Period: Exposition of Household Car and Parts on 15~19 October 2004

CHINA INTERNATIONAL MACHINERY AND ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS EXPOSITION (referred to as “CWME”), as an international and professional exhibition of state level approved by the State Council, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, and jointly supported by China Machinery Industry Union, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and China Export-import Bank, was a key exposition of machinery and electronic product supported by the state.

Four sessions of CWME had been successfully held since 2000. During past four years friends in the circle of machinery and electronics came from all over the world and all provinces and municipalities of China for CWME in every gold autumn with unprecedented ardency and immense prosperity increased. Through four years’ operation CWME had improved in internationalism and professionalism, and become an annual pageant for predominant machinery and electronics companies from home and abroad with the increasing significance.

The 5th CWME was divided into “Exposition of Machinery and Electronic Product” (which was held on 23~26 September 2004) and “Exposition of Household Car and Parts” (15~19 October 2004). Both are held at Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center. This CWME further strengthened partnership with businesses from home and abroad and highlighted function of investment promotion. During this exposition series of activities like technology exchange, industrial summit, executive forum, multinational outsourcing, project recommendation and negotiation were held, which elevated China’s machinery and electronic product manufacturing level, expanded China’s export of machinery and electronic product, promoted international communication and cooperation, and provided an endless space of intercommunication and multifunctional platform for investment promotion.
